Overview

About This Program

This 10-week, small-group program brings older and younger people together through shared learning, conversation and practical activities. Older participants can contribute life experience, cultural knowledge and practical skills, while younger participants share contemporary perspectives and new ways of doing things. The program promotes mutual respect, reduces social isolation and strengthens connection across generations.

Why This Program Matters

Community Need

Limited opportunities for meaningful contact between generations can contribute to social isolation, misunderstanding and the loss of valuable knowledge and experience.

Program Purpose

The program creates structured opportunities for older and younger people to share skills, exchange perspectives and learn from one another.

Accessible Delivery

Welcoming small groups, guided activities and culturally responsive support enable everyone to contribute at a comfortable level.

Intended Outcomes

Stronger intergenerational relationships, increased confidence and belonging, shared knowledge and greater participation in community life.
